LICENSED clinical social worker | owner of a therapy life center & author of lessons from the listening lady

I take a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Gestalt approach to therapy. Using a cognitive behavioral approach, I help clients make a connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors while changing the core beliefs that hinder their ability to be their best self. Gestalt therapy is centered on increasing a person’s awareness, freedom and self-direction and is connected to mindfulness training. Each of these approaches is key to helping clients create the life they desire and find peace within themselves.

I am passionate about the topic of spirituality and the concepts that are taught through the spiritual community. Through these teachings, I coach my clients to quiet the ego (human mind created in trauma) and connect back to their heart and intuition. I believe we all have an inner knowing and guidance within us and through healing our past traumas we can connect back to our soul and make the mind, body and spirit connection that is needed to live a more positive life.

I also have specialized training and expertise working with youth who are oppositional, defiant and cause sexual harm to others. I believe in the importance of educating parents and working within the family to adjust the dynamics that perpetuate challenging behaviors. Treating the core problem and not just the symptoms of the issue is fundamental to ensuring treatment will be effective long-term.

My career started at Youth Consultation Services in 2010, where I supported at-risk youth and their families. I graduated with a BA in Psychology from Ramapo College and then received an MSW degree from Rutgers University. I obtained my license in Clinical Social Work and have since gained experience working within an out-patient program serving adolescents, adults and families in NJ.

Licensed PsychotherapY
It is my personal belief that therapy works best when a trusting relationship is established between the client and therapist. A Therapy Life Center, LLC was established to help heal others and to create a place within the community that can inspire positive change. As licensed clinical social workers and mental health therapists, our goal is to create a safe, nurturing and confidential environment where clients feel understood and have the opportunity to gain the self-awareness needed to make the positive changes in their lives.

If you feel you are ready to commit to bringing about positive change in your life, we encourage you to take the first step. A Therapy Life Center is currently serving adolescents, adults and families. Group therapy will soon be available. Please call or email to inquire about services and availability. We look forward to working with you and your loved ones.
